My Specialty: Women Health
My language: English About Me: Born in Kingston, Jamaica, raised in Miami, Florida. Husband is in the Navy; his work brought us to California. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, live music, reading, or listening to podcasts. The way women give themselves to nurture humanity is my inspiration for giving back to women by ensuring they have quality health care. Additionally, the maternal morbidity and mortality rates of Black women in this country are alarming, and I want to be apart of the solution. My first job as a registered nurse started here in Ventura at CMH on the telemetry unity. However, women's health was always my passion, so I went back to graduate school to complete my master's at Georgetown University and specialize as a Nurse Midwife and Women's Health NP. I moved to San Diego and worked at the Naval Hospital as a Midwife; then, we decided to return to Ventura, where we hope to settle for a while. My Practice: SPH provides great low intervention options for women, and I am both inspired and excited to ensure the women in the community and the surrounding communities have access to Midwifery care. What keeps me passionate about my work is that it feels like a God-appointed service and never like a job. Helping women and helping families grow is the mission, and I am proud and fortunate to be used in that capacity.
