Bookkeeper

Job Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Administrator, the bookkeeper performs general daily accounting and will be involved in payment processing, reporting, forecasting, and analysis.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Accounts Payable: Post and code invoices for payment
- Accounts Receivable
- Completes and processes payroll, bimonthly
- Updates staff PTO balances for payroll, bi-monthly
- Cash Management
- Create petty cash sheets
- Submit 401K funds to Vanguard
- Reconcile visitor count, monthly
- Create provider monthly logs.
- Monthly & year - end closing
- Prepare month end financial reports with the CPA
- Close past year files and start files for current year
- Audits & reports, tracking, trending & analysis as needed.
- Tax Preparation
- Comply and keep current with accreditation standards and federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency in Word and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices according to GAAP
- Ability to use ten key calculators by touch
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- A/R, A/P, bank recs, journal entries, reporting experience
Education/Experience:
- Must have 3+ years of general bookkeeping experience
- Experience with automated databases and standard PC software applications
- BA degree in Accounting or Business is preferred
